The Big 3-0

I have a whole month's worth of blogging to catch up on, but i thought I could at least be timely on wishing Matty a big Happy 30th Birthday!!

We had a really fun day (besides Matt having to work). He met me and Carsen for Carsen's parent-teacher conference and then we all went to A&W for lunch. Then he came home and we had a Mexi-feast, opened presents and ate cake and ice cream.

I think his favorite part of the day was the Happy Birthday banner I taped to the back of his car that he didn't find until after he had made his morning commute. I think that was my favorite part too.

Me and the boys filled out questionnaires about "Daddy at 30" and "Matty at 30"...so we won't post them again here, but here are some pictures of the festivities...

Airplane Fun

Carsen is on year-round school and has the month of October off. So for his break, the boys and I are headed to Virginia to visit the Andros family for a few weeks. Matt will meet us there the last week of October and fly home with us, but I will be doing the 7-hour trip out there on my own. So, I would love suggestions on some light-weight, clean, and time-consuming activities that I could pack for our plane ride that would be suitable for a 5, 3, and/or 1-year. We have a DVD player, which is always a hit, but the battery only lasts so long. Ideas that fall in any or all of those categories would be greatly appreciated!
